The LSL FS division (which PRIMIS are part of) also includes TMA and Linear Financial Solutions.

 

We are keen to recruit a Head of Commercial Finance (reporting to our Chief Finance Officer) in what is a key role in our growing business.

 

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance professional to contribute to the success of our Financial Services Division by ensuring optimum outcomes for the business.

 

The role is a UK based remote role with travel required.

 

Role Purpose:

 

To lead the commercial finance function, providing strategic financial insight, robust financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and commercial decision support across the business. This role ensures financial governance and performance management in line with FCA regulatory standards and supports sustainable business growth.

 

Responsibilities to include:

 

  • Lead the commercial finance team, delivering high-quality financial planning, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Partner with business units to drive profitability, cost efficiency, and strategic investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial models to support scenario planning and business cases.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA financial regulations and internal governance frameworks.
  • Provide financial insight to the executive team and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Oversee pricing, margin analysis, and commercial contract evaluation.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and reporting.
  • Deputise for CFO as needed

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Strong commercial finance background with experience in FP&A, business partnering, and strategic finance.
  • Advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills.
  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA,or equivalent) or QBE
  • Experience of working in financial services industry preferable
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations and influence decisions using insights
  • Business partnering at all levels including senior management 
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commercial finance roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.

  • Employ a flexible business partnering approach
  • Communicate complicated information to a wide range of audiences
  • Composure under pressure and experience of managing in challenging and pressured circumstance
  • Prioritise workload and meet deadlines

 

Salary and Benefits Package circa £90,000 - £120,000 DOE negotiable
