Part of LSL Property Services plc’ Financial Services division, PRIMIS Mortgage Network are the largest Mortgage and Protection Network in the UK with circa 1000 Mortgage & Insurance firms as business partners and approaching 3000 advisors working alongside us.

Other businesses within the FS division include TMA, Novium and Linear Financial Solutions.

 

We are keen to recruit a talented Senior Enterprise Risk Manager to join our first-class Risk and Compliance function here at PRIMIS / LSL’s Financial Services division.

 

Role Purpose

 

Assist and support the Financial Services division to facilitate the enhancement and implementation of a class leading Risk Management framework across the FS Division.

 

Responsible for the maintenance of a robust and effective risk assessment, risk management, and risk reporting framework across all FSD business units

 

Responsible for accurate provision of all applicable committee reporting.

 

Completion of periodic formal 2nd line risk assurance activity and reporting.

 

Main Accountabilities -

 

  • Ensure the FSD risk framework and underlying documents are up to date, fit for purpose and proportionate to the Financial Services division. Work closely with the team and all business areas to enhance understanding and implementation of all framework components in the division.

 

  • Working closely with all FSD Executives, ensure accurate and timely provision of all reporting for the Risk team. Seek continuous improvement to reporting to ensure it provides clarity and clear direction to all stakeholders. 

 

  • Work with the Head of Enterprise Risk and team to ensure a comprehensive risk training program in place across all levels of the Financial Services division.

 

  • Promote awareness and understanding of effective risk management within a regulated financial services environment.

 

  • Provide 2nd line challenge on 1st line owned risks, as part of the overall Risk profile.

 

  • Support the team with all components of the FSD Risk Framework, including Policy, Risk Events, Protecht (GRC tool), and Control Testing

 

  • Manage key stakeholders across the FS division and across the wider LSL Group.

 

  • Periodic formal 2nd line risk assurance activity, where risks are identified through Risk Framework activity such as risk events.

 

Knowledge and Expertise required -

 

  • Understanding of the financial services industry, operating within regulatory requirements to deliver both commercial business objectives and good customer outcomes.

 

  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills including the ability to prioritise and schedule own workload.

 

  • Ability to confidently engage with and influence key stakeholders to ensure a high level of credibility is gained throughout the Group.

 

  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload under time pressure.

 

  • Thorough attention to detail, pragmatic approach, and enthusiasm for driving excellent business results.

 

Essential requirements -

 

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an enterprise risk management role.

 

Prior experience of the following is desirable:

 

  • Knowledge of the property and mortgage industries and the risks faced by both industries.

 

  • Industry qualifications in risk management and or similar qualifications (e.g. the institute of risk management certificate or similar).

 

Salary and Benefits - to £64,000 DOE
