An exciting opportunity has arisen to join LSL, one of the United Kingdom’s largest property companies, at our brand new Newcastle upon Tyne office. LSL  is a leading provider of residential services to its customer groups, offering services including estate agency, lettings, surveying, and mortgage advice through brands such as Reeds Rains and Your Move.

We are looking for an individual who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise and execute key financial and administrative functions on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a confident telephone manner.

Main Accountabilities & Key Objectives:

Working within the Accounts team, the Accounts Assistant will:

  • Oversee expenditure by case and ensure accurate financial records.
  • Raise invoices to clients, ensuring correct fees and recharges.
  • Process payments to clients and third-party suppliers.
  • Maintain and update expenditure lines.
  • Review and chase overdue payments.
  • Liaise with Purchase Ledger and respond to supplier payment queries.
  • Assist with bad debt recovery and support management accounts admin tasks.

Experience:

Previous experience in an accounts, or Sales/ Purchase Ledger role is essential. Knowledge of property sales and experience with financial software is advantageous but not essential.

 

Technical Skills / Competencies / Behaviours:

  • Accuracy in financial data handling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Ability to work to defined policies and procedures.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.
