This is an exciting time to be joining our proposition team, where you will oversee the development, delivery and deployment of an exciting range of data products, whilst coordinating all workstreams to ensure a smooth process with minimal disruption.

A dedicated team of data professionals are already building SaaS products for existing and new markets, including an Automated Valuation Model (AVM). You will need to gain their trust and respect by demonstrating that you have a deep technical background, a good understanding of property data and the ability to clearly make, communicate and follow through on the decisions that will affect day to day progress across multiple data projects and also the strategic direction of this growing business unit.

Working with closely with a range of stakeholders across Data, Proposition, Development, Marketing and more, you’ll need to be an excellent communicator and negotiator to get the best out of colleagues. 

Main Accountabilities:

• Supporting the Data Product Director in the day to day technical management and decision making within an expanding NPD function. As well as inputting into the wider data strategy.
• Leading a multi discipline team encompassing data engineers, developers and working closely with related departments e.g. project delivery exceptional organisational and people skills are essential
• Day to day management of technical queries and direction.

• Ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
• Ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
• Identify, co-ordinate and negotiate for the required resources for product delivery.
• Create manage and maintain relevant product documentation.

Knowledge and Expertise - (relating to specialist knowledge and expertise required to undertake the role).

Essential:

• Experience leading a multi discipline technical team
• SQL (ideally Postgres)
• Python
• Azure
• DataBricks
• Managing NPD within a fast moving environment using Azure DevOps
• Agile delivery.
• Software development and delivery (full SDLC)
• Attention to detail
• A need to understand what, why and how (technical, process and strategic)

Essential Experience and Qualifications

• Agile framework, change delivery, program/project management.
• Azure DevOps
• Software development
• Building and managing a team in fast moving startup environment
• Willingness to get into the detail and be hands-on when required
