Our in house Legal team in York are growing and have an opportunity for an Administrator to join the team.
Working as the Legal Administrator, you will receive;
- £24,000 salary
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

- A 35 hours per week contract (core hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm)

Working as the Legal Administrator, you will;
- Prepare correspondence, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets.
- Administer filing, including daily filing, and manage the opening, closing, and storage of case and matter files.
- Attend meetings and take notes/minutes as required.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail; prepare outgoing mail and enclosures.
- Undertake administrative tasks such as ordering stationery and equipment.
- Handle queries via telephone and email, ensuring timely and professional communication.
- Collate information for reports and perform scanning and copying tasks as needed.
- Assist the Company Secretary/Assistant Company Secretary with statutory filings and other tasks as required.
- Provide general administrative support, including arranging travel for the Legal and Company Secretarial teams.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with company policies and the Data Protection Act.
Key Skills and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A positive attitude, with a friendly and polite demeanor.
- Minimum of Grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English.
- Experience in office administration, particularly within a legal or corporate setting would be desirable
- Experience in note-taking or minute-taking would be desirable
